BI8-EM18-VP45XLD Description
Turck BI8-EM18-VP45XLD is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-EM18 series, designed for embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 8.4-64Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, 48Vdc, and 60Vdc. The sensor features a 1.4301 (304) stainless steel housing, a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face, an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, and a TPE (Thermoplastic elastomer) cable jacket. It comes pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft TPE-jacketed cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The sensor's shape is an M18 partially threaded barrel, offering a degree of protection rated at IP68. It has a maximum switching frequency of 500Hz and can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C. The BI8-EM18-VP45XLD features 1 x digital output (8.4-65Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 15mA. Its sensing distance is 8mm, and it has an M18 thread size. The operating mode includes NO (Normally Open) / NC (Normally Closed) complementary outputs.
