BI5-M18-AP6X/S120 Description
Turck BI5-M18-AP6X/S120 is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-M18 series, designed for embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and features a chrome-plated brass housing with a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face and an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap. The sensor is equipped with a 2m silicone-jacketed cable, terminated with bare end flying leads for connection, and is designed in an M18 partially threaded barrel shape. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, with a maximum switching frequency of 100Hz and an ambient air temperature operational range of -25°C to +120°C. The response time is 8ms, and it includes one digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.) with a no-load current consumption of 15mA. The sensing distance is 5mm, and it features protection against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated for a current of 200mA / 0.2 A, and it operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode.
