BI5-G18SK-Y1X Description
Turck BI5-G18SK-Y1X is an intrinsically-safe inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-G18 series. This sensor features an ATEX compliant short barrel embeddable design with a supply voltage of 8.2Vdc. It is constructed with a chrome-coated brass housing and a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face. The connection is facilitated by a pre-equipped wiring chamber terminal block and a right-angled Pg 9 entry. The shape is an M18 fully threaded barrel with a right-angle terminal chamber. It offers a degree of protection of IP67 and operates at a frequency of 1kHz / 1000Hz max. switching frequency. The ambient air temperature for operation ranges from -25°C to +70°C. It includes 1 x digital output (8.2Vdc; NAMUR) and has a sensing distance of 5mm, with a thread size of M18.
