BI5-G18-AP6X Description
Turck BI5-G18-AP6X is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-G18 series, designed for embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and features a chrome-plated brass housing with a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face and an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap. The sensor is equipped with a PVC cable jacket and is pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. This model has an M18 fully threaded barrel shape and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. It can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and has a maximum switching frequency of 500Hz. The sensor provides one digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.) and has a no-load current consumption of 15mA. Its sensing distance is 5mm, and it includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated for a current of 200mA / 0.2 A, and it operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode. The thread size for installation is M18.
