Turck BI4-EG16CA-RP45LD/S100 is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-EG16 series, designed with a cond. adapter for use in vehicle board nets and is an embeddable special version without an LED indicator. It operates on a supply voltage range of 8.4-64Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, 48Vdc, and 60Vdc. The sensor is encased in a 1.4401 (316) stainless steel housing with a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face and a TPE (Thermoplastic elastomer) cable jacket. It features a 16mm diameter and is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft TPE-jacketed cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The shape is a 5/8"-18 UNF fully threaded barrel with a cond. adapter. This sensor is rated with an IP68 degree of protection and can operate at a maximum switching frequency of 2kHz / 2000Hz. It is designed to function in ambient air temperatures ranging from -40°C to +100°C. The BI4-EG16CA-RP45LD/S100 has 1 x digital output (8.4-65Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 15mA. It offers a sensing distance of 4mm and has a thread size of 5/8"-18 UNF. Its operating mode is NC (Normally Closed).
