BI3U-S12-AP6X Description
Turck BI3U-S12-AP6X is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-S12 series, designed to be embeddable. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and features a PA6 GK15 Polyamide housing, a PA12-GF30 glass fiber reinforced Polyamide sensing face, an EPTR Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber end cap, and a PVC cable jacket. This sensor is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads and has an M12 partially threaded barrel shape. It offers an IP68 degree of protection, a maximum switching frequency of 3kHz, and can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -30°C to +85°C. The response time is 8ms, and it includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.) with a no-load current consumption of 25mA. The sensing distance is 3mm, and it features protection against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated at 200mA, and it operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode.
