BI2U-M12E-AD4X Description
Turck BI2U-M12E-AD4X is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-M12 series, designed with an extended barrel that is embeddable. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-65Vdc, including nominal voltages of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc. The sensor features a chrome-plated brass housing, an LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) sensing face, an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket. It comes pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The shape is an M12 partially threaded extended cylindrical/barrel, offering a degree of protection rated at IP68. It has a maximum switching frequency of 20Hz and can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from 0°C to +70°C. The sensor includes 1 x digital output (10-65Vdc; DC 2-wire; 100mA max.), with a sensing distance of 2mm. Protection functions include short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated at 100mA / 0.1 A, and it has an M12 thread size. Its operating mode is NO (Normally Open).
