BI2U-EH6.5-AP6X Description
Turck BI2U-EH6.5-AP6X is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-EH6.5 series, designed for embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The sensor is constructed with a 1.4305 (303) stainless steel housing, a PA12-GF20 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face, a PP (Polypropylene) end cap, and a PUR (Polyurethane) cable jacket. It features a pre-wired connection with a 2m / 6.5ft PUR cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The sensor's shape is a 6.5mm diameter smooth cylindrical/barrel (Picoprox), and it offers a degree of protection rated at IP68. It has a maximum switching frequency of 2kHz / 2000Hz, an ambient air temperature operation range of -30°C to +85°C, and a response time of 8ms / 0.008 s. The sensor includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 150mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 15mA, a sensing distance of 2mm, and protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated for a current of 150mA / 0.15 A, and it operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode.
