BI2-S12-AP6X/S100 Description
Turck BI2-S12-AP6X/S100 is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-S12 series, designed for embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The sensor is constructed with a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) housing and sensing face, an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket. It features a pre-wired connection with a 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The sensor's shape is an M12 partially threaded barrel, offering a degree of protection rated at IP67. It has a maximum switching frequency of 2kHz / 2000Hz, can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +100°C, and includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.). The current consumption is 15mA under no-load conditions, with a sensing distance of 2mm. Protection functions include short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The thread size is M12, and the operating mode is NO (Normally Open).
