BI2-G12-AP6 Description
Turck BI2-G12-AP6 is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-G12 series, designed as an embeddable special version without an LED indicator. It operates with a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The sensor features a chrome-plated brass housing, a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face, an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket. It is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The shape of the sensor is an M12 fully threaded barrel, offering a degree of protection rated at IP67. It has a maximum switching frequency of 2kHz / 2000Hz, can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C, and includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.). The current consumption is 15mA under no-load conditions, with a sensing distance of 2mm. Protection functions include short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The thread size is M12, and it operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode.
