Turck BI1-HS540-RP6X is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-HS540 series, designed for embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and features a 1.4427 (316L) stainless steel housing, a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face, and a PUR (Polyurethane) cable jacket. This sensor is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft PUR cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It has a 4mm diameter smooth cylindrical/barrel shape and offers an IP67 degree of protection. The sensor operates at a maximum switching frequency of 3kHz / 3000Hz and can function within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. It includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 100mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 15mA and a sensing distance of 1mm. The BI1-HS540-RP6X is equipped with protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity, and operates in a Normally Closed (NC) mode.
