BC5-S185-AN4X Description
Turck BC5-S185-AN4X is a capacitive proximity sensor belonging to the BC...-S185 series, designed for embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-65Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc. The sensor features a PVDF housing and sensing face, along with a PVC cable jacket. It is connected via a pre-wired 2m cable with bare end flying leads. The sensor's shape is an M18 partially threaded barrel, offering an IP67 degree of protection. It has a maximum switching frequency of 100Hz and can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C. The sensor includes one digital output (10-65Vdc; NPN; 200mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 15mA and a sensing distance of 5mm. It is equipped with protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated at 200mA / 0.2 A, and it operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode.
