BC5-QF5.5-Y1X/S250 Description
Turck BC5-QF5.5-Y1X/S250 is a sensor designed for proximity and capacitive sensing within the BC...-QF5.5 series. This intrinsically-safe capacitive proximity sensor/switch features a Qpak housing that is ATEX compliant, with top-sensing capabilities and designed to be embeddable. It operates on a supply voltage of 8.2Vdc and is constructed with a PP (Polypropylene) housing and sensing face, along with a PVC cable jacket. The sensor is pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. It has a 5.5mm thick rectangular body shape and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The maximum switching frequency is 100Hz, and it can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C. The sensor includes 1 x digital output (8.2Vdc; NAMUR) and has a sensing distance of 5mm.
