Turck PS23 is a sensor designed for pressure measurement within the PS500 series, featuring a differential programmable pressure sensor with a set point range of 1-100% and a reset point range of 0.5-99.5%. It supports multiple measurement units including bar, psi, kPa, MPa, and miscellaneous others. The sensor operates in ambient air temperatures ranging from -40°C to +80°C and has a rotatable housing design for flexible installation. It connects via a 4-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector and a G1/4" (1/4" BSPP) threaded female process port. The PS23 offers an IP67 degree of protection and requires a supply voltage of 18-30Vdc (24Vdc nominal). Its cylindrical body is constructed from 1.4305 (303) stainless steel, with wetted parts and pressure connection of the same material, and a ceramics Al2O3 pressure transducer. The sensor can handle pressures from 0 to +250bar and uses the IO-Link communication protocol. It can operate in either NO (Normally Open) or NC (Normally Closed) modes, which are programmable. Protection functions include short-circuit (pulsed) and reverse polarity. The response time ranges from 50 to 600ms, and it features 1 x analog output (4-20mA; can also be used as a NPN/PNP digital output). Measurement accuracy includes set point accuracy of +/-0.5% FS, analog accuracy of ≤+/-0.5% FS, with repeatability ≤0.5% of the measuring range, and zero shift/span shift ≤0.15% of the measuring range per °C. The current consumption is 50mA, and it has a maximum switching frequency of 180Hz.
