Pilz PILZ-312890K is a Safety I/O unit designed for failsafe operations and includes a safety I/O block module CPU with a real-time clock for time and date functions, offering a resolution of 1s and a deviation of +/- 10s/day, with a buffer time of 10 days. It is equipped with a working memory (RAM) of 128MB and supports FS module bus and FS SNp interface with two SafetyNET p interfaces. These interfaces automatically assign IP addresses in the 169.254.X.Y range and can be set via Automatic SafetyNET p interface, supporting up to 4000 variables with elementary FS data types. The unit features potential isolation between load supply and device supply, as well as between SafetyNET p and device supply, both with functional insulation and a rated surge voltage of 1000V. It is designed for surface mounting, can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -30 to +70 °C, and condensation during operation is permitted. The PILZ-312890K measures 260 mm in height, 61.5 mm in width, and 52 mm in depth, with a degree of protection of IP67. It offers a supply voltage range of 19.2-30Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and a rated voltage of 8.2Vdc minimum threshold voltage for signal changes from "1" to "0" and 10Vdc maximum threshold voltage for signal changes from "0" to "1". The maximum cable length between test pulse output and input is 200m. Connection capacity includes 64 x standard connections and 64 x failsafe connections for SafetyNet p, with a power consumption of 4.9 W for the output external power supply (device supply) and 0.2 W for the load supply. It features 16 x digital outputs and 16 x digital inputs, supports a transmission rate of 100MBit/s for SafetyNET, and has a processing time of 0.5-1 ms for input processing and a cycle time of 2-60000 ms for SafetyNET. The connection type includes 8 x 5-pin M12 connectors for I/O ports, 2 x 5-pin M12 connectors for the interface, and 2 x 5-pin M12 (male + female) connectors for power supply, all with screw interlock.
