SM31RL Description

Banner Engineering SM31RL is a photo-electric sensor from the SM312 series designed with a through-beam system and opposed mode potentiometer adjustment. This sensor, functioning as a receiver alone, is housed in thermoplastic with an acrylic lens. It features a pre-wired connection with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The SM31RL operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and can be mounted using an M18 threaded mount. It is designed to operate within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, NEMA 2, NEMA 3, NEMA 3S, NEMA 4, NEMA 4X, NEMA 6, and NEMA 12. The rectangular-shaped sensor provides 1 x digital output (PNP/NPN transistor), has a sensing distance of up to 30m, utilizes infrared (IR) light, and boasts a response time of 1ms / 0.001 s.
