SM31R Description
Banner Engineering SM31R is a photo-electric sensor from the SM312 series designed with a through-beam system and opposed mode potentiometer adjustment. This sensor, functioning as the receiver alone, is housed in thermoplastic with an acrylic lens. It features a pre-wired connection with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The SM31R operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and can be mounted using an M18 threaded mount. It is designed to operate within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C and boasts a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, and 12, ensuring its durability in various environmental conditions. The sensor has a rectangular shape, includes 1 x digital output (PNP/NPN transistor), and offers a sensing distance of up to 3m. It utilizes infrared (IR) light, has a response time of 1ms / 0.001 s, and supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes.
