SM31EPD Description
Banner Engineering SM31EPD is a photo-electric sensor from the SM312 series, designed with a through-beam system and opposed mode potentiometer adjustment. This sensor functions as an emitter alone, housed in a thermoplastic body with an acrylic lens. It comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable featuring bare end flying leads for connection. The SM31EPD operates on a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal values at 12Vdc and 24Vdc. It is designed for M18 threaded mount installation and can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -20 to +70 degrees Celsius. This sensor offers a high degree of protection, rated at IP67 and compliant with multiple NEMA standards including 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, and 12. It has a rectangular shape, a sensing distance of 300mm, emits visible red light, and boasts a rapid response time of 1ms / 0.001 s.
