SM31EML Description
Banner Engineering SM31EML is a photo-electric sensor from the SM312 series, designed with a through-beam system and opposed mode potentiometer adjustment. This sensor functions as an emitter alone, housed in a thermoplastic casing with an acrylic lens. It comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable featuring bare end flying leads for connection. The SM31EML operates on a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. It is designed for M18 threaded mount installation and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C. This sensor offers a high degree of protection, rated at IP67, NEMA 1, NEMA 2, NEMA 3, NEMA 3S, NEMA 4, NEMA 4X, NEMA 6, and NEMA 12, ensuring durability in various environmental conditions. The rectangular-shaped sensor has a sensing distance of 3m and utilizes infrared (IR) light, with a rapid response time of 1ms / 0.001 s.
