SM31EMHS Description
Banner Engineering SM31EMHS is a photo-electric sensor from the SM312 series, designed with a through-beam system and opposed mode potentiometer adjustment. This sensor functions as an emitter alone, housed in a thermoplastic body with an acrylic lens. It features a pre-wired connection with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The SM31EMHS operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and is mounted using an M18 threaded mount. It is designed to operate within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, NEMA 2, NEMA 3, NEMA 3S, NEMA 4, NEMA 4X, NEMA 6, and NEMA 12. The sensor has a rectangular shape, a sensing distance of 3m, utilizes infrared (IR) light, and boasts a response time of 0.2ms / 0.0002 s.
