SM31ELMHS Description
Banner Engineering SM31ELMHS, part of the SM312 series, is a photo-electric sensor designed with a through-beam system and opposed mode potentiometer adjustment. This emitter-only unit features a thermoplastic housing with an acrylic lens. It comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. The sensor operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. It is designed for M18 threaded mount installation and can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -20 to +70°C. The SM31ELMHS offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, NEMA 2, NEMA 3, NEMA 3S, NEMA 4, NEMA 4X, NEMA 6, and NEMA 12. Its rectangular shape facilitates a sensing distance of up to 30m, and it utilizes infrared (IR) light with a response time of 0.3ms / 0.0003 s.
