SM31E Description
Banner Engineering SM31E, part of the SM312 series, is a photo-electric sensor designed with a through-beam system and opposed mode potentiometer adjustment. This emitter-only sensor features a thermoplastic housing and an acrylic lens. It comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The SM31E operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. It is designed for M18 threaded mount installation and can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -20 to +70°C. This sensor offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, NEMA 2, NEMA 3, NEMA 3S, NEMA 4, NEMA 4X, NEMA 6, and NEMA 12. The rectangular-shaped SM31E has a sensing distance of 3m, utilizes infrared (IR) light, and boasts a response time of 1ms / 0.001 s.
