Banner Engineering SM312FPMHSQD is a photo-electric fiber optic sensor within the SM312 series, featuring a potentiometer adjustment design. It is constructed with a thermoplastic housing and plastic fiber, ensuring durability and compatibility with various applications. This sensor is pre-equipped with a 4-pin Euro-style M12 connector for straightforward integration into existing systems. It operates on a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal values at 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and can function within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C. The SM312FPMHSQD offers a high degree of protection, rated at IP67 and compliant with multiple NEMA standards including 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, and 12, making it suitable for a wide range of environmental conditions. Its rectangular shape is designed for easy installation, and it features one digital output (PNP/NPN transistor), capable of operating in both Light-ON and Dark-ON modes. The sensor emits a visible red light with a wavelength of 650 nm and boasts a rapid response time of 0.3ms.
