Banner Engineering SM312DMS12-27146 is a photo-electric sensor from the SM312 series, designed with a diffuse mode potentiometer adjustment. It features a thermoplastic housing with an acrylic lens and is pre-wired with a 12" cable terminated with bare end flying leads. This sensor operates within a supply voltage range of 10Vdc-30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. It is equipped for M18 threaded mount installation and can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -20 to +70°C. The SM312DMS12-27146 offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, and 12, making it suitable for various environmental conditions. Its rectangular shape incorporates 1 x digital output (PNP/NPN transistor), and it can sense objects up to a distance of 380mm. The sensor utilizes infrared (IR) light and has a response time of 1ms / 0.001 s, with operating modes that include Light-ON and Dark-ON.
