SM312D-28322 Banner Proximity Sensors

Banner Engineering SM312D-28322 is a photo-electric sensor from the SM312 series, featuring a diffuse mode with phono plug potentiometer adjustment for precise control. This sensor is housed in a thermoplastic casing with an acrylic lens, ensuring durability and clarity for the sensing operation. It comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates with bare end flying leads for easy integration into various systems. Designed for a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal values at 12Vdc and 24Vdc, it offers flexibility in power requirements. The SM312D-28322 is equipped for mounting with an M18 threaded mount and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C. It boasts a high degree of protection, rated at IP67 and compliant with multiple NEMA standards, including 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, and 12, making it suitable for challenging environments. The sensor's rectangular shape is designed for straightforward installation, and it features 1 x digital output (PNP/NPN transistor) for reliable signal transmission. With a sensing distance of 380mm and an infrared light source, it provides accurate detection, while its quick response time of 1ms / 0.001 s and the ability to operate in both Light-ON and Dark-ON modes enhance its versatility in application.
