S18UBA Description
Banner Engineering S18UBA is an ultrasonic distance sensor from the S18U straight series, featuring a time-of-flight system with TEACH mode for precise distance measurement. This sensor is housed in a thermoplastic casing and comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates in bare end flying leads for easy installation. It operates on a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and can function within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +60°C. The S18UBA is designed with an M18 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape, ensuring compatibility with standard mounts, and offers a sensing distance between 30mm and 300mm. It operates at a transmission frequency of 300kHz and includes a digital output (PNP/NPN transistor) for signal processing. This sensor is protected against short-circuits and boasts a degree of protection rated at IP67 NEMA 6P, making it suitable for challenging environments. The thread size for mounting is M18.
