859-397 Description
Wago 859-397 is a fixed-type relay module designed for railway applications with electromechanical design features. It utilizes CAGE-CLAMP spring connections for secure and efficient connectivity. This module is capable of a continuous rated current of 5A and is equipped with a red LED indicator. It operates with a recommended minimum switching load of 10V / 10mA / 24V / 1mA and features a 1C/O / SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) contact type. The relay does not specify a supply voltage for AC but operates within an ambient air temperature range for both operation and storage of -40°C to +70°C. The control voltage for DC is adjustable between 28.8-67.2Vdc, with a nominal value of 48Vdc. It has a net height of H91mm, a width of 6mm, and a depth of D56mm, making it suitable for mounting on a DIN-35 rail. The relay's contacts are made of Silver-Tin (AgSnO) to handle a short circuit breaking rating efficiently. The rated impulse voltage (Uimp) ranges from 0.6 to 1.4 times the control voltage, and the rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 4 kV. It has a single-pole control voltage for AC applications and a power consumption tailored for DIN-35 rail installations. The module's dimensions facilitate a compact installation with a width of 6mm. It has a switching voltage maximum of 250Vac and operates with a frequency of 250V. The relay is designed for a high number of operations, with 50,000 for Normally Closed (NC) circuits and up to 5,000,000 operations overall. It can withstand 5-95% relative humidity without condensation. The switching times are specified as 15ms for contacts closing and 25ms for contacts opening.
