788-701 Description

Wago 788-701 is a Solid State Relay (SSR) designed for plug-in input with push-in CAGE CLAMP spring connections. It features a rated current of 5A (continuous) and a rated voltage (DC) of 0-30Vdc with a nominal 24Vdc output. The design includes a pre-assembled socket base, a red LED, and a 2-wire connection. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40°C to +70°C for both operation and storage. The control voltage (DC) ranges from 15-30Vdc (24Vdc nom.), and it is designed for mounting on a DIN-35 rail. The SSR has a compact size with dimensions of H64mm x W15mm x D86mm and a width of 15mm. It offers a short circuit breaking rating with a response time of 50μs (0.00005 s) for switching ON and 600μs (0.0006 s) for switching OFF. The device supports a 100Hz switching frequency and has an IP20 degree of protection.

Power dissipation losses are 48.4W and 47.3W for 3x480Vac and 3x400Vac inputs, respectively, at full output load. Electrical durability varies with temperature and load conditions, offering up to 322,000 hours of operation at 25°C and 20A output under 3AC 400Vac input. The ripple is 100mVpp across a 20Hz to 20MHz range, with an output stage capacitance of 10200µF.
