RI-43H42S-4A1024-C3M Description
Turck RI-43H42S-4A1024-C3M is an incremental rotary encoder designed for face mount flange mounting. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +80°C and features a large-bore through hollow shaft with optical sensing. This encoder is pre-wired with a radial 2m / 6.5ft cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. It belongs to the Type RI-43 series and has dimensions of H140mm x W135mm x D174mm with a 100mm casing diameter. The encoder is protected to IP65 standards and requires a 5Vdc supply voltage. It supports a 300kHz pulse frequency and is constructed from die-cast metal housing, with a stainless steel shaft and an aluminium flange. Communication is facilitated via an RS-422 protocol, and it features a 42mm hollow shaft bore. The encoder has one digital output (RS422 output with inverting signal; 5Vdc) and includes short-circuit protection. It can handle a rotational speed of up to 6000rpm (mechanical limit) and has a moment of inertia of less than 220x10^-6kg.m^2. The resolution is set at 1024ppr (pulses/revolution), and the current consumption is 40mA with no load.
