Turck RI-12H8E1-CA300-H1181 is a compact incremental rotary encoder designed for versatile applications requiring precise motion control. It features a 65mm flex mount flange for mounting and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +85°C. This encoder is equipped with a through hollow shaft flange, utilizing flex mount optical sensing for accurate readings. It connects via a pre-equipped radial 8-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector, falling under the Type RI-12 series. The encoder has a 2" casing diameter and offers an IP67 degree of protection, ensuring durability in various environments. It operates on a supply voltage range of 5Vdc-30Vdc, including 6Vdc, 12Vdc, and 24Vdc options, with a 300kHz pulse frequency. Constructed from die-cast metal housing, stainless steel shaft, butyl rubber shaft seal, stainless steel disc table, and stainless steel packing ring, it is built for longevity. It includes protection functions against short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic fields, and reverse polarity. Capable of a maximum rotational speed of 6000rpm, it has a moment of inertia of 6 x 10-6kg.m2 and offers a resolution of 300ppr (pulses/revolution). The current consumption is 100mA with no load, and it can withstand a maximum radial load of 80 N and a maximum axial load of 40 N.
