RI-10TA1Z2-4A2048-C1M Description
Turck RI-10TA1Z2-4A2048-C1M is a compact incremental rotary encoder designed for 2" motor flange mounting. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +85°C and features a solid shaft motor flange with optical sensing. This encoder is pre-wired with a radial 1m / 3ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It belongs to the Type RI-10 series and has dimensions including a 2" casing diameter, 3/8" shaft diameter (D3/8"), and 5/8" shaft length (L5/8"). The encoder is protected to IP65 standards and requires a 5Vdc supply voltage. It can handle a maximum pulse frequency of 300kHz, equivalent to 8789rpm. The construction includes a die-cast metal housing, stainless steel shaft, butyl rubber shaft seal, stainless steel disc table, and stainless steel packing ring. It uses the RS-422 communication protocol and has one digital output (RS422 output with inverting signal; 5Vdc). Protection features include short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic field proof, and reverse polarity protections. The encoder supports a rotational speed up to 12000rpm (mechanical limit), with a moment of inertia of 1.8 x 10-6kg.m2, and offers a resolution of 2048ppr (pulses/revolution). Its current consumption is 40mA with no load, and it can withstand a maximum radial load of 80 N and a maximum axial load of 40 N.
