RI-10T10C-2K2500-C5M Description

Turck RI-10T10C-2K2500-C5M is a compact incremental rotary encoder designed for 58mm clamping flange mounting. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +85°C and features a solid shaft with optical sensing. This encoder is pre-wired with a radial 5m / 16ft cord with bare end flying leads, falling under the Type RI-10 series. It has a 2" casing diameter, a 10mm shaft diameter, and a 20mm shaft length, with a degree of protection rated at IP65. The supply voltage ranges from 5Vdc to 30Vdc, supporting 6Vdc, 12Vdc, and 24Vdc, and it can handle a maximum pulse frequency of 300kHz (equivalent to 7200rpm). The encoder is constructed from die-cast metal housing, a stainless steel shaft, a butyl rubber shaft seal, a stainless steel disc table, and a stainless steel packing ring. It features one digital output (push-pull; 7272 compatible; 5Vdc-30Vdc), and includes protection functions against short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic fields, and reverse polarity. The mechanical rotational speed limit is 12000rpm, with a moment of inertia of 1.8 x 10-6kg.m2, and a resolution of 2500 pulses per revolution. Its current consumption is 50mA with no load, and it can withstand a maximum radial load of 80 N and a maximum axial load of 40 N.
