RI-10SA1Z4-2K400-7MIL/N38 Description
Turck RI-10SA1Z4-2K400-7MIL/N38 is a compact incremental rotary encoder featuring a 2" square flange mounting and a solid shaft square flange optical sensing with a special pin configuration. It is designed for operation in ambient air temperatures ranging from -40 to +85°C and comes pre-equipped with a radial 7-pin MS MIL-Spec male connector. This encoder falls under the Type RI-10 series and has dimensions including a 2" casing diameter, a 3/8" shaft diameter (D3/8"), and a 5/8" shaft length (L5/8"). It offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 and operates on a supply voltage range of 5Vdc-30Vdc, supporting 6Vdc, 12Vdc, and 24Vdc. The encoder can handle a frequency of up to 300kHz pulse frequency and is constructed from die-cast metal housing with stainless steel shaft, disc table, and packing ring. It features 1 x digital output (push-pull; 7272 compatible; 5Vdc-30Vdc) and includes protection functions against short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic fields, and reverse polarity. The maximum rotational speed is 6000rpm, with a moment of inertia of 1.8 x 10-6kg.m2 and a resolution of 400ppr (pulses/revolution). Its current consumption is 50mA with no load, and it can withstand a maximum radial load of 80 N and a maximum axial load of 40 N.
