RI-10SA1S0-4A1000-10MIL Turck Encoders

Turck RI-10SA1S0-4A1000-10MIL is a compact incremental rotary encoder designed for 2.5" motor flange mounting. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +85°C and features a solid shaft motor flange with optical sensing. This encoder is pre-equipped with a radial 10-pin MS MIL-Spec male connector and belongs to the Type RI-10 series. It has dimensions of a 2" casing diameter, 3/8" shaft diameter, and 7/8" shaft length, with a degree of protection rated at IP67. The supply voltage required is 5Vdc, and it can handle a pulse frequency up to 300kHz. Constructed from die-cast metal housing, stainless steel shaft, disc table, and packing ring, it supports RS-422 communication protocol and has 1 x digital output (RS422 output with inverting signal; 5Vdc). Its protection functions include short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic field proof, and reverse polarity. The encoder can reach a maximum rotational speed of 6000rpm, with a moment of inertia of 1.8 x 10-6kg.m2, and offers a resolution of 1000ppr (pulses/revolution). It has a current consumption of 40mA (no load), with maximum radial and axial loads of 80 N and 40 N, respectively.
