Turck RI-10SA1R-2K2500-10MIL/N33/N40 is an incremental rotary encoder designed for compact applications, featuring a 2.5" square flange mounting for secure installation. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +85°C and incorporates a solid shaft square flange with optical sensing, a special pin configuration, and waveform design. This encoder is equipped with a radial 10-pin MS MIL-Spec male connector for reliable connectivity. It belongs to the Type RI-10 series and has dimensions including a 2" casing diameter, a 3/8" shaft diameter, and a 7/8" shaft length. With an IP67 degree of protection, it is suited for demanding environments. The supply voltage ranges from 5Vdc to 30Vdc, supporting 6Vdc, 12Vdc, and 24Vdc systems, and it can handle a pulse frequency up to 300kHz. The encoder is constructed from die-cast metal housing, with a stainless steel shaft, disc table, and packing ring, ensuring durability. It features one digital output (push-pull; 7272 compatible; 5Vdc-30Vdc), and includes protection functions against short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic fields, and reverse polarity. Capable of a maximum rotational speed of 6000rpm, it has a moment of inertia of 1.8 x 10-6kg.m2 and offers a resolution of 2500 pulses per revolution. The current consumption is 50mA with no load, and it can withstand a maximum radial load of 80 N and a maximum axial load of 40 N.
