RI-10S8C-4B4096-H1181 Description
Turck RI-10S8C-4B4096-H1181 is a compact incremental rotary encoder featuring a 58mm clamping flange mounting and a solid shaft clamping flange optical sensing design. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +85°C and is pre-equipped with a radial 8-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector for connectivity. This encoder, part of the Type RI-10 series, has dimensions including a 2" casing diameter, an 8mm shaft diameter (D8mm), and a 15mm shaft length (L15mm). It offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 and requires a supply voltage of 5Vdc-30Vdc, supporting 6Vdc, 12Vdc, and 24Vdc. The encoder can handle a maximum frequency of 300kHz, equivalent to a maximum rotational speed of 4395rpm, and is constructed from die-cast metal housing with stainless steel shaft, disc table, and packing ring. It utilizes the RS-422 communication protocol and includes 1 x digital output (RS422 pulse output; TTL compatible; 5Vdc-30Vdc). Protection features include short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic field proof, and reverse polarity protections. The mechanical limit for rotational speed is 6000rpm, with a moment of inertia of 1.8 x 10-6kg.m2, and it offers a resolution of 4096ppr (pulses/revolution). The current consumption is 40mA with no load, and it can withstand a maximum radial load of 80 N and a maximum axial load of 40 N.
