NI12U-S18-AP6X Turck Inductive Sensors

Turck NI12U-S18-AP6X is an inductive proximity sensor designed for a variety of applications requiring precise, non-contact detection of metallic objects. This sensor operates within an ambient air temperature range of -30°C to +85°C and is equipped with a 2m pre-wired cable with bare end flying leads for easy installation. Part of the NI...-S18 series, it features an M18 partially threaded barrel shape and offers a sensing distance of 12mm. The sensor operates on a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and can handle a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz. Constructed with a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) housing and sensing face, along with an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap and a PVC cable jacket, it ensures durability in challenging environments. The sensor provides a single digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.) and features protection against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. It operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode, has a thread size of M18, and is designed with a control circuit rated current of 200mA / 0.2 A and a no-load current consumption of 25mA. The NI12U-S18-AP6X is rated with a degree of protection of IP68, making it suitable for use in applications where dust and moisture resistance is critical.
