BI1.5-EG08K-Y1 Description
Turck BI1.5-EG08K-Y1 is an intrinsically-safe inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-EG08 series. This ATEX compliant, short barrel embeddable special version is designed without an LED indicator. It operates with a supply voltage of 8.2Vdc and features a 1.4305 (303) stainless steel housing, a PA12-GF20 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face, a PP (Polypropylene) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket. The sensor is pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It has an M8 fully threaded short cylindrical/barrel (Picoprox) shape and offers a degree of protection of IP67. With a maximum switching frequency of 5kHz / 5000Hz, it can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C. The sensor includes 1 x digital output (8.2Vdc; NAMUR) and has a sensing distance of 1.5mm, with an M8 thread size.
