BCF5-S18-RN4X Description
Turck BCF5-S18-RN4X is a capacitive proximity sensor belonging to the BC...-S18 series, designed for noise-immune embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-65Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc. The sensor features a housing and sensing face made of PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) and a PVC cable jacket for its pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. Its M18 partially threaded barrel shape is designed for easy installation, and it offers an IP67 degree of protection against ingress. The sensor has a maximum switching frequency of 100Hz and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. It includes 1 x digital output (10-65Vdc; NPN; 200mA max.) and has a no-load current consumption of 15mA. The sensing distance is 5mm, and it is equipped with protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The thread size is M18, and it operates in a Normally Closed (NC) mode.
