Pilz PILZ-784138 is a safety relay designed for single or dual-channel operation, capable of safety gate monitoring, including mechanical and non-contact methods. It features monitored manual reset and start-up testing capabilities, with options for AND or OR input, and a self-test function. This model is suitable for DIN rail mounting and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55 °C. It has a net height of 101 mm, a rated current of 2A, and utilizes plug-in/detachable spring terminal connections. As part of the PNOZ e3.1p sub-range, it measures 22.5mm in width and 121 mm in depth, with a degree of protection rated at IP40. The supply voltage requirement is 19.2-30Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc. The housing is made of PPO with an ABS front, ensuring compatibility with various industrial environments. It offers dual-channel operation with detection of earth faults in the input circuit and shorts between input circuit contacts. The automatic start function activates the unit when specific input circuit conditions are met, while the monitored start requires manual operation of the start button. This safety relay prevents automatic restarting after power failures, ensuring safety gates are properly cycled before reactivation. It allows for an increase in the number of available contacts through external modules or contactors/relays. The device includes 2 x instantaneous safety outputs and 1 x auxiliary output, both semiconductor types, along with 2 x test pulse outputs.
