Panasonic SF4D-H64-01 is a compact and robust hand-protection intrinsically safe safety light curtain sensor designed for a variety of applications requiring high levels of safety, including PL e / SIL3 environments. It features an interference prevention function, external device monitoring with an 8-core or 12-core cable, an interlock function with manual or auto reset options, and an override function available with the 12-core cable. The housing is made of aluminium, while the sensing surface is constructed from polycarbonate resin and stainless steel SUS304, with nylon used for the upper and lower caps. This sensor comes pre-equipped with a connector for ease of installation. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The protective height of the sensor is 1270 mm, and it includes two digital outputs (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2, and one digital output (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The sensing distance ranges from 20cm to 9m in long mode, or 80cm to 15m (0.656 to 29.528ft in long mode, 2.625 to 49.213ft), with a current consumption of 120mA / 0.12 A for the emitter and 150mA / 0.15 A for the receiver. It utilizes infrared (IR) light with a wavelength of 850 nm and can detect objects as small as 25mm or 0.984 inches.
