SM2A31RLE Description
Banner Engineering SM2A31RLE is a sensor from the SM2A312 series designed as a long-range photo-electric component with an emitter and receiver pair. This sensor features a through-beam system with opposed mode potentiometer adjustment. It is housed in thermoplastic with an acrylic lens and comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The SM2A31RLE operates on a supply voltage of 24Vac-240Vac (200Vac / 220Vac nominal) and is mounted using an M18 threaded mount. It is designed to operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -20 to +70°C. This sensor offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, NEMA 2, NEMA 3, NEMA 3S, NEMA 4, NEMA 4X, NEMA 6, NEMA 12, and NEMA 13. It has a rectangular shape, one digital output (Solid-state AC output; SPST contact type), a sensing distance of 30m, and uses infrared light with a wavelength of 880 nm. The response time of the sensor is 2ms / 0.002 s.
