Banner Engineering PIT16U is a fiber optic sensor designed for through-beam system applications, featuring an opposed mode pair of individual fibers for in-line sensing. This sensor operates effectively at an ambient air temperature up to +70°C. It belongs to the Plastic fiber series, characterized by a 0.25mm fiber core diameter. The sensor has a cylindrical (threaded) probe tip made of brass, with the fiber itself being plastic and the sheath composed of polyethylene (PE). The total length of the fiber is 6ft / 2m, facilitating versatile installation options.
