Banner Engineering MAR1216NX485Q is a sensor from the MINI-ARRAY 2-piece models series designed for edge/profile sensing with a measuring light screen array function, specifically as a receiver. It features a 295mm array length in a rectangular shape with an aluminium housing. The sensor has a 3/4" / 19mm beam spacing/pitch and is pre-wired with a 6" / 150mm PVC pigtail that terminates with an M12 mini-style connector. It utilizes an RS-485 communication protocol and operates on a supply voltage of 16Vdc-30Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal. The ambient air temperature range for operation is between -40 and +70 degrees Celsius. This model offers a degree of protection rated at IP65 UL type 1 and can sense distances from 90cm up to 16.5m. It includes 2 x digital outputs (NPN transistor; complementary NO/NC) and has a resolution of 3/4" / 19mm, making it capable of detecting object sizes between 25.4-38.1mm.
