M12PLP Description
Banner Engineering M12PLP is a polarized photo-electric sensor from the M12 series designed in a retro-reflective mode with potentiometer adjustment. It features a visible red light with a wavelength of 660 nm and is housed in nickel-plated brass with a Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) lens. This sensor is shaped in an M12 cylindrical threaded/barrel form and comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc (12Vdc / 24Vdc nom.) and can function within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +60 °C. The M12PLP offers a sensing distance of 1.5m and includes 1 x digital output (PNP transistor; complementary NO/NC) with a response time of 0.5ms / 0.0005 s. It is designed for durability and protection in harsh environments, featuring a degree of protection rated at IP67, IP68, NEMA 5, and NEMA 6. The operating modes available are Light-ON and Dark-ON, and it has an M12 thread size for mounting.
