LX21RQ Description
Banner Engineering LX21RQ is a standard-range part-sensing light screen cross-hatched array sensor designed for precise object detection. This sensor, functioning as a receiver alone, features a 523mm array length housed in durable aluminium with an acrylic lens and die-cast zinc end caps. It is pre-wired with a 6-inch (150mm) pigtail terminated with a 5-pin Euro-style M12 connector for easy installation. The LX21RQ operates on a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal voltages of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and offers a sensing distance between 30cm and 2m. It has a net height of 571mm, a width of 26mm, and a depth of 32mm. Designed to work in a variety of environmental conditions, it can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70 degrees Celsius. This sensor is IP65 rated, indicating protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. It features a light-ON and dark-ON operating mode, a single digital output (PNP/NPN transistor), and a quick response time of 5.6ms. The LX21RQ is capable of detecting objects as small as 9.5mm, making it suitable for a wide range of part-sensing applications.
