LX18RQ Description
Banner Engineering LX18RQ is a standard-range part-sensing light screen cross-hatched array sensor, designed primarily as a receiver. It features a 447mm array length encased in an aluminium housing with an acrylic lens and die-cast zinc end caps. This sensor is pre-wired with a 6-inch (150mm) pigtail that terminates with a 5-pin Euro-style M12 connector. It operates on a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The LX18RQ has a net height of 495mm, a width of 26mm, and a depth of 32mm. It is built to function in ambient air temperatures ranging from -20 to +70 degrees Celsius and offers a degree of protection rated at IP65. This sensor operates in both Light-ON and Dark-ON modes, can sense objects within a distance of 30cm to 2m, and has a response time of 4.8ms. It is capable of detecting objects as small as 9.5mm and includes 1 x digital output (PNP/NPN transistor).
