Panasonic SF4B-H24C is a sensor array designed for hand-protection and intrinsically safe applications, meeting safety standards of Category 4 / PL e / SIL3. It features a light curtain sensor with an emission halt function, external device monitoring, ELCA function for reduced mutual interference, interlock function with manual or auto reset, an override function through a 12-core cable, and a large multi-purpose indicator for muting settings. The housing is made of polycarbonate, and it comes pre-wired with a 5m 8-core 0.15mm2 heat-resistant PVC cable with bare end flying leads. It offers a degree of protection of IP65 and has a protective height of 503.4 mm. The SF4B-H24C includes 2 x digital outputs (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2 and 1 x digital output (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). It operates within a sensing distance of 0.3m-7m and has a current consumption of 70mA for the emitter and 85mA for the receiver. The light color is infrared (IR) with a wavelength of 850 nm, capable of detecting objects as small as 25mm. It features outputs short-circuit protection and has a response time of 80ms - 90ms for ON and 14ms for OFF.
