M18-4VNRS-2M Description
Banner Engineering M18-4VNRS-2M is a photo-electric sensor designed for precise detection tasks, belonging to the M18-3 (stainless steel) series. This sensor operates as a receiver within a through-beam system, featuring opposed mode potentiometer adjustment for fine-tuning. It has an M18 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape with a durable stainless steel housing and an acrylic lens. The unit is pre-wired, including a 6.5ft / 2m cable with bare end flying leads for connection. It supports a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal values at 12Vdc and 24Vdc. Designed to withstand harsh conditions, it operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +70°C and offers a high degree of protection rated at IP67 and IP69K. The sensor features both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes, accommodates an M18 thread size, and provides a sensing distance of up to 25m. It includes 1 x digital output (NPN transistor; complementary NO/NC) and boasts a quick response time of 1.5ms / 0.0015 s.
